I started working with special needs kids in 7th grade, and since then I've taken any opportunity to work with them again. Throughout high school I had the opportunity to spend two hours a day assisting teaching in the special needs classrooms. I taught math, reading, and life skills. It was always the best part of my day, and I formed a really special bond with those kids. I also had the opportunity to babysit special needs kids outside of school, which was a great experience as well. It is my passion to work with these kids and I currently attending the University of Arizona with a speech language and hearing science major in hopes of becoming a speech pathologist so I can continue working with these extraordinary kids the rest of my life.
