About Isabel

Hello! I'm Isabel, but your child might already know me as Fizzy Izzy! During the school year, I work as an Apex Leader, teaching social-emotional learning leadership lessons in elementary schools. In this full-time position, I educate students on values such as gratitude and kindness while providing mentorship and even playing out at recess! Long before my role as 'Fizzy Izzy', as the students call me, I began my work in childcare as a residential camp counselor. I have worked at Camp Neyati in Lake, Michigan for the past five years. In 2024, I was promoted to Lead Counselor. As a counselor, I've led activities, created fun and engaging programs, and fostered an environment where children feel safe and encouraged to express themselves. In my 2024 performance review at Camp Neyati, I was described as "attentive and empathetic", "respectful, receptive to feedback, reliable, communicative", and as a "very calming presence". I look forward to meeting you and your little ones!
