I have 9years experience as both CMA/CNA. My duties :- Helped redirecting and engaging seniors on what they enjoy doing like playing card games, planting and watering plants. Grooming, bathing patients with low mobility . Helping patients eat and take medications ordering and taking vital signs. Making sure they have regular meals and proper medication dosages. Monitoring vitals and patient behavior and reporting them to the nursing and medical staff or family members. Assisting patients with mobility needs, transferring them from wheelchair to bed, bathroom. Turning or adjusting patients in bed to prevent bedsores or other discomfort. Exercising patients by helping them walk. Running errands for patients like taking them to doctors appointment, grocery and generally what they need. Help patients with transfer equipment like stand up lift and Hoyer lift . Doing light house work and preparing meals for resident. Encouraging residents to do activities and allowing them to be independent.
