Don’t trust Ingrid ! She isn’t who she comes off to be during her interview. My heart hurts writing this because nobody should have to experience the sadness and guilt we felt during the short time of having Ingrid as our nanny. During the interview now that we experienced her care we see the red flags but because she was so different during her interview we still hired her. After about 3 weeks of having Ingrid we kept hearing opinions from other parents from the preschool. Comments about how she treated our 5 year old son and how he came off as being afraid of her. Every morning during drop off at school he cried begging us to not let her pick up him we just thought it was due to him acting out and maybe her disciplining him. Idk exactly what happened but it’s been about 2 weeks and he’s still traumatized. If you hire Ingrid please be sure your kids are old enough to speak up and be sure to ask lots of questions. She starts off great but as the weeks go on it changes in a flash. choose a different nanny. I’m not the first family this happened to she left her previous family when we hired her and I’m sure it’s a cycle that she will keep doing. We have a 10 year old and she hasn’t said much about Ingrid other than she was mean and didn’t play with (insert brothers name) . She seems to do better with older kids from what I’m guessing. And I’d like to just say our youngest is your typical 5 year old boy and very easy to entertain.
