I cared for my elderly mother until her passing in 2020, and my stepfather until 2021. I worked in an assisted living facility here in Memphis for only one year, but I have always respected and assisted the elders around me with whatever they would have requested of me. I'm a big history buff, so I actually enjoy conversing with people who have lived long and can share advice and wisdom. I understand the amount of love and patience and respect that goes in to caregiving in general, but especially to those who have lived and experienced so much life.
