About Imani

I am a second year dental student and received my B. S. in Chemistry from Jackson State University. I am classically trained in piano, ballet, and voice and still have a very deep passion and appreciation for the arts. I have the same passion for learning and teaching. I've been tutoring since my freshman year of college and found that I was able to take material that seemed complex make a lot of sense in a more simplified way. I tutored my classmates in general and organic chemistry as well as college level math courses and microbiology. I later went on to tutor middle and high schoolers in math and college students in chemistry. My approach to learning and teaching is being able to understand each component of material and gaining confidence in that knowing. All of my students had significant improvement in their abilities and excelled in their courses. I am looking to tutor math and science on the weekends and look forward to working with families!
