About Hope

I am a preschool teacher with a degree in Educational Psychology and emphasis in child development. I've worked at a local preschool for almost 4 years, first as an early literacy tutor, then an assistant teacher, and now lead teacher for a class of 3-year-olds. I am trained in TBRI and Conscious Discipline, and I am learning more everyday about working with all young children, including those who have experienced trauma and exhibit challenging behaviors. I enjoy creating fun, engaging learning experiences (especially ones involving art and sensory play), helping kids understand and navigate their feelings, and having dance parties too! As a childcare provider and nanny in Mississippi, I worked frequently with other age groups, from infants to 4-year-olds. I also have experience working with kids and teens of various ages as well. My education in child development combined with my passion for helping children grow and thrive make childcare something that I absolutely love and excel in.
