Hello, I'm Hoorig and I specialize in tutoring Biology (and related classes) for all ages/levels. I graduated with a Bachelor's in Biology/minor in Chemistry from California Poly Pomona. I went on to earn my PhD from UCLA in Microbiology, Immunology & Molecular Genetics. My research experience continued through my postdoctoral years after which I transitioned into project management and teaching. I have over 5 years experience tutoring and teaching in multiple settings, from elementary school and high school through college. My students have told me countless times how they appreciate my patience, clarity, and ability to take difficult concepts and explain them in way that finally makes sense! In my spare time, I love spending time with my husband and two kids. I also enjoy baking, trying new recipes, Pilates and walks, travel, reading, and exploring new coffee shops.
