As a dependable, kind, and seasoned professional tutor, I hope to empower your children as independent, confident, and critical thinkers and learners. I have 18 years of teaching experience in varied settings. I have taught and tutored a range of ages (from 1-year-olds to college students) in several subjects including reading and writing, math, social studies, and Spanish. My NYU graduate coursework in reading and learning disabilities has fortified my extensive knowledge of emergent literacy techniques and enabled me to adapt my teaching strategies to my students' individual needs. I have also worked as a babysitter and camp counselor for decades and as a school librarian and children's library associate for over 7 years. As a creative reading specialist, I successfully promote literacy skills while empowering children to improve their own self-confidence. I am fully vaccinated and boosted for COVID-19 and am also First Aid and CPR/AED certified for adults, children, and infants.
