I took care of my Dad who had Alzheimer's, everyday was a new adventure. I cleaned, cooked, did laundry and mowed his yard. I scheduled appointments and took him to them. He liked eating out, so I took him to the same diner everyday. I monitored his vitamins and medication. I made sure he showered and brushed his teeth on a regular basis. I cared for an elderly man with kidney failure, mild dementia and had lost ability to walk. I helped him from bed to wheel chair and back. I helped him to clean up and dress every morning. I changed his diaper when needed. I transported him to and from dialysis. When he died I stayed on as companion to his wife. Over 4 years, as her health declined, I became more involved in caring for her. In her final, year I helped her from bed to chair, and to bathroom. I helped with showers and getting dressed. I made a schedule for meds each day and administered them. I have continued to care for others with same duties. I have a references.
