About Hillary

Hi there, I'm Hillary! Growing up, I was blessed with the responsibility of a beautiful baby sister who I've helped raise since I was young myself -- since, I've started to pursue a degree in education. I love arts and crafts, I can make a game out of anything, and I have loads of patience. I like working with kids because I was only a kid so long ago myself -- as a young adult I feel like they deserve so much patience and compassion towards their big feelings and their growing worlds. I started working with kids when I was 17, as an unpaid intern at Socastee Middle School for a high school course in education. Since then, I have worked at Lakewood Elementary as well, supervising up to 45 children at once on my own, helping them to solve problems, work together, and keeping them safe. In my spare time, I like to create any and all kinds of art -- I'm a writer, a singer, and a multi-media artist who loves constantly working outside of my box.
