Hello! My name is Hildy. I have been a caregiver for children of all ages for over 12 years and I am currently working at Duke Hospital. Over the years, I have had the opportunity to work closely with children with Autism and Down syndrome as well as children who are hospitalized. Several strengths acquired include: - Attentive to detail - Ability to remain calm in stressful situations - Provide one-on-one direct care to people with developmental or mental disabilities in their homes and in the community - Create an encouraging and inspiring environment for the individual - Uphold treatment plans that are put into place by doctor for the individual - Interpersonal skills I believe it is very important to create and hold a tight connection with the individual and make sure they feel comfortable and safe. I would love to have the opportunity to assist any family that needs the care that I can provide for their child and their family!
