About Heydi

Hello! Im 19 years old and I work as an after school leader, I've worked with grade levels from kindergarten to eighth grade. I'm very patient, and easy to communicate with. My biggest priority is maintaining an appropriate environment; I want child(ren) I'm watching feel comfortable to talk to me, while making sure that I never cross boundaries that are not my place to cross. I'm great with kids, and have done research on great enrichment activities from 7 months old - middle school! Every child is different, and working with such large groups has taught me to be more patient and understanding with children; my goal is to make sure they all feel as equally respected and heard. My skills include helping with homework, organizing, enrichment activities and understanding emotions and how to communicate feelings. Apart from those childcare skills, I'm also certified in first aid, CPR and I'm a mandated reporter so I've taken courses about understanding certain child behavior.
