Henrick took wonderful care of my husband, who had ALS, for the past three years. I cannot say enough good things about Henrick as a person or a caregiver. From the beginning, he quickly learned the very difficult, technical work of caring for someone with advanced-stage ALS. Henrick is precise, experienced, patient, and always kind. He is easily able to manage and maintain medical equipment, supplies, and medicines. Henrick is always on time, very rarely sick, and completely dependable. As my husband‘s disease progressed, Henrick was innovative and thoughtful, coming up with creative solutions to make him comfortable and safe. The level of Henrick’s care went above and beyond that of any other caregiver we’ve had, and we have had many caregivers over the past 5 1/2 years since my husband was diagnosed with ALS. Henrick blended in seamlessly with our family, which includes two young children and two cats. He is 100% trustworthy and was wonderful to share our home with. As far as medical equipment and skills, Henrick has extensive experience with: hoyer lift, bipap/breathing machine, feeding/gastronomy tube, suction machine, cough assist, deep suctioning, eye-tracking communicator, showering w/breathing machine, bed baths, medical massage/body care, and working with someone who is nonverbal. Henrick handled many medical complications and crises for my husband, including clearing his airway, addressing indigestion/pumping his stomach, skincare, and managing periodic intense discomfort and pain. The only reason that Henrick is no longer working for us is because my husband passed away recently. I miss having Henrick in our lives on a daily basis. Anyone would be lucky to have him work for them. I am most happy to be a reference for him and tell you more!
