My name is Helena, or Lena for short. I am currently a first grade teacher with Orange County Public Schools. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Development and a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction for Early Childhood Education. I've always had an affinity for school, which is why I will probably go back to school for my Ph. D within the next few years and part of my decision to become an educator. The other reason I chose this career is because I've grown up around children and have always loved working with them. I am certified in grades Pre-K - 3 with reading and ESOL endorsements, but I also tutor privately up to 7th grade. My photo is from my most recent graduation from Florida State University. My rates are adjusted to account for my level of experience as well as knowing the standards your child is learning and having research-based instructional strategies to meet the learning needs of your child in a one-on-one environment.
