About Heidi

- Kids' safety, both physical and emotional, comes first. - Maintains child-like wonder and actively encourages children to explore and play. - It's safe to make mistakes. Kids deserve to be treated with the same dignity expected from adults. When caretakers respond to hardship with calm logic and empathy, kids learn to do the same. - Can endlessly draw/write/tell stories and play make-believe games (is a writer/artist and a tabletop Game Master on the weekends!) - Second eldest of 9 kids (has seen almost everything, including poop sculptures.) - Has a 4-year-old daughter - 5+ years experience teaching children (both classroom and 1 on 1) from diverse backgrounds including special needs. - Not focused on gender/traditional role-based expectations but rather chooses to model human values such as empathy, integrity, curiosity, and kindness. - Calm and coordinated in emergencies.
