About Heidi

I've always had a natural connection with young children. Growing up, I pretended to play "school" and usually my younger sister was the student. There was no question I would get my teaching degree once I became college age. With an Early Childhood degree, I was able to work and experience both public and Waldorf educational settings for many years. My countless hours of working directly with young children and their parents as well as building relationships with top outdoor educators from around the world, has helped me develop not only a knowledge and wisdom for how to best meet the needs of the young child in nature but also a living understanding that the future in preparing today's children for life in tomorrow's society is rooted in love, risk, joy, nature connection, engagement and reflection. I enjoy being a mother of two grown children, being outside, hiking, biking, gardening, cooking, singing and playing music, tending interior spaces and doing yoga.
