About Hector

I used to sing opera and grew up playing violin. Now, I am a fully certified English AND Social Studies instructor. I'd describe my personality as calm, funny, and approachable. I like tutoring because it gives me the opportunity to give specific attention to students who struggle in their subject area. I'm looking for a job that allows me to invest in their child, and develop their learning style. I love encouraging my students and helping them to feel their best as they gain mastery over their coursework I started tutoring when I entered the classroom. I offered both lunchtime and after school tutoring. In my spare time, I like to read freely, develop my school curriculum, sing, and spend time with my family. One thing you should know about me is I have high expectations for my students but I fully support them throughout the process. My skills include modern applications to concepts in the subjects, encouragement, and rigor.
