About Heather

I have about 15 years experience with children elementary aged children in an educational setting. I have helped in my mothers special education class since I was 15 years old. I would assist the children with reading and math. I have completed 200+ hours of volunteering in kindergarten, 3rd, and 5th regular ed, and 4th-6th special ed. I also volunteered as a mediator/mentor teaching children about conflict resolution. I am currently in the process of obtaining a teaching credential. I feel that even though my experience with children aims at the educational setting, it applies to caring for children as well. I am also a CNA and currently take care of a man in his home. I have cared for him for the past 3 years through IHSS. I am CPR/First Aid certified. I believe that caring for children is much like caring for the elderly. I feel very confident in providing the utmost care to children. I am patient, punctual, honest, fair, dependable, kind, fun, but strict when I need to be.
