About Heather

I have two years of experience caring for my father, who had dementia, and my mother, who died of breast cancer. My areas of expertise include attending medical appointments and taking detailed notes on behalf of the client. I provide companionship, transportation, meal preparation and concierge services. On a case-by-case basis, I may also dispense medications and assist with bathing, dressing, and grooming. My professional history includes nine years as a case manager and five years conducting administrative hearings for the Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles. My training includes graduate work in the field of counseling and the completion of Graceful Exit and other courses which address the psychosocial and spiritual aspects of palliative care. In addition to acting as a caregiver, my role is to provide clients and their families with safety, independence and peace-of-mind.
