Many have said I have the energy and heart of a child. And I take that as a compliment. I started babysitting at the age of 10 for the neighbors children, a young boy and girl. Then at the age of 15 my older sister had a baby girl where I was heavily involved in helping raise her. I have also volunteered at the Jenkinsons Aquarium and the Florida Aquarium where I was responsible to educate the children on the touch tanks and help them interact with the animals. I loved it!!! Getting to see their faces light up with excitement and help them to overcome their fear of the rays/sharks/sea stars was very rewarding. We're only young once and reminding kids that they're kids through imagination and fun is magic.

Heather was a weekly nanny for our infant son for about three months until she sadly moved away. We loved having Heather to watch the baby for the day. She was always so excited to be there and was clearly invested in the baby and didn't see the responsibility as just another job. She took the role seriously and put her whole heart into playing with and enriching our baby. She would bring her own books, records, CDs and other fun things to entertain the baby with. She made a point to leave the TV off and I would often come home and she and the baby would be contently sitting out on our balcony overlooking the back field and she would say "this is our TV". Her fun and bubbly personality is perfect for children, but she is careful not to go overboard and maintains calmness and order while creating a warm, exciting and creative atmosphere.
