About Heather

I'd describe my personality as hard working, empathetic, and compassionate. I like caring for seniors because it gives me a sense of accomplishment knowing I am able to help someone in need. I'm looking for a job that is flexible, has a positive environment, and has good communication. I started caring for seniors in September of 2013 after completing the summer CNA certification program at parkland college. In my spare time, I like to spend time with my children and family. I enjoy music/concerts, hiking, and movies. One thing you should know about me is I will work hard to give the best person centered care I possibly can and I have 12 years of experience working in both nursing homes and assisted living settings. My skills include medication management/administration, assisting with ADLs, and an empathetic caregiver mindset. Up to date CPR certification and experience with diabetes management.
