I don't have the formal training, however I have had a lot of on the job experience. I was a primary caretaker for my grandpa for 4 years. He was a quadriplegic, and also suffered from severe dementia. I've also cared through many surgeries, hospital stays and general old age issues. I'm happy to cook, clean, give out pills, and keep them company. I'm willing to stay overnight or for a few days if and when I've built a solid relationship with someone. I like caring for seniors because they're usually forgotten. They deserve so much more respect, time and care than we give them. I'm looking for a job where I can find some usual families to serve and build a relationship with One thing you should know about me is I'm Christian. I'd prefer non smoking, drinking, cussing type houses. I am aware that dementia patients can have big personality changes and start being angry or vulgar where they never were before. As long as the general household is one of love and peace, I'm good.
