About Heather

I worked for a private preschool from age 18-20 working with infants (6 wks) through prek. While working through my education degree, I also worked part-time for a family center for a hospital in Richmond. There, I spent several years working with infants- school age children until taking a full-time prek teacher position. I babysat regularly for my students for many years until I became a mom myself. In 2015, I decided to stay at home with my newborn and nanny part-time for a family of three kids until we moved from Richmond to Roanoke. While living in Roanoke, I decided to try my hand at in-home childcare. For a year, I had 3 full-time families and 2 as needed families. After that year, I had my 2nd baby and moved from Roanoke to Bedford. Since moving to Bedford, we've had our 3rd and final baby, who is now 5 years old. My kids love playing outside. We don't have tablets and very limited screen time. We are a christian family, non-smokers, and pet free home.
