About Heather

I'm a Childhood and Special Education student and have been working in childcare for the last 6 years. My priority is creating an environment that fosters empathy, growth, and development. My positive experiences working as a camp counselor, Substitute Teacher, Student Aide, and Student Teacher in schools in Monroe County have equipped me with the skills and knowledge to work with children who have a wide variety of needs. I'm patient, calm, creative, imaginative, friendly, and approachable, and love to find creative ways to engage with students and kids that I work with. I also have a collection of exciting and educational books, games, and other resources that I bring with me! I'm comfortable caring for up to four children, from newborns to 11-year-olds, and I'm happy to follow parents' preferred communication methods when it comes to discussing their child's day or any issues that arise.
