About Heather

Retired professional court reporter for 33 years. Raised three boys, now 31, 29 and 28. Began a math tutoring program in Portland, Oregon eight years ago for underprivileged children that is still running weekly. I have many hundreds of rewarding hours volunteering as a tutor and mentor to young children. Before becoming a court reporter, I was a nanny for a 13-year-old boy and previously to that I had a wonderful experience living with a family with three children rent free in exchange for childcare hours. I am enthusiastic about getting to know children, encouraging their growth and instilling a sense of wonder and imagination. I am responsible, flexible, honest, compassionate and a good listener. I love creating stimulating environments and activities that are developmentally appropriate. I am committed to making a positive impact on families that are looking for childcare help.
