We were excited to hire Hayley, as she interviewed very well. She was great at communicating, but she is very set in her ways. Unfortunately, she did not mesh well at all with my 2 year old, unsure about my 1 year old. My toddler is usually very easy going and has always gotten along well with childcare providers. For the two weeks that Hayley worked for us, I have never seen my daughter cry/tantrum/sleep disruption in her entire life. As soon as we changed childcare providers, she returned to her happy, silly self. We tried to make it work, but when Hayley allowed our children to watch tv for 7 hours straight, that was simply unacceptable for us. It wasn't uncommon for her to disrupt my husband (who works from home) to help with changing diapers. Hayley may fit better with a family with older children, she just didn't mesh well with ours.
