My first job was working for Break the Barriers whose mission statement is "celebrating awareness and victories of all abilities, ethnicities, and ages through exceptional programs, outreach, and inclusion education. "I grew up at this gym and truly fell in love with advocacy. When I was a coach I was able to coach all different classes with all different ages. My favorites were mommy and me and Boot Camp whose youngest participant was 49. From then I ended up nannying for a family that had two boys. A 12-year-old and 10-year-old boy, who was nonverbal and was diagnosed with down syndrome. These boys were a blast! People with different abilities have always been a part of my life from a very young age and I intend on keeping that way!
