I am finishing a bachelor's of science in Psychology and have come to realize there are many students who do not know the basics of math and writing. I aspire to help as many students as I can to become more than functionally literate but to be able to think critically and beautifully articulate that onto a page. But starting with functional literacy is important. Math and science can be difficult subjects to learn in a big classroom. I believe every child can learn basic math in a one on one format.
