About Hannah

I'd describe my personality as empathetic, determined, and agile. I like tutoring because it is incredibly rewarding to see that aha moment when my students get it after they worked so hard to learn. I'm looking for a job that is fulfilling. I started tutoring when I was in high school. I tutored after I prematurely left military medical school and again while I was completing my MBA at Georgetown. I was a full time math and science teacher at a school for gifted kids in Virginia and I taught English abroad in Ecuador for a yearlong fellowship. In my spare time, I like to do yoga, go for long walks, read, meditate, hike, connect with my friends and family around the world, write in my gratitude journal daily, stream TV and movies. One thing you should know about me is I'm authentic and I want what's best for the child/student who I am entrusted with. My skills include listening, breaking down new information and providing encouragement and positive reinforcement.
