Hello! I am interested in helping a special needs child part time. I have a 1. 5-year-old who had infant heart surgery. When we brought her home I had to manage her gtube, oxygen, 8 medications, injections as well as her weekly PT, OT, Speech, feeding therapy appointments. Now she is thriving, walking, talking, eating orally and has graduated from everything apart from PT, and a couple daily meditations and I have the capacity to work. I have short term experience with children with autism through working with Big Brothers Big Sisters & close friends with autistic children. As a parent my patience and problem solving skills have grown exponentially. I can help with school pick ups/drop offs or full days a couple times a week. If needed for mornings or full days I would have my toddler with me who is very social and easy to entertain. We have worked with another toddler twice a week in our home since September who will be leaving us in a couple weeks.
