While earning my Master's degree, I took courses such as Creativity and the Young Child and Theories of Play, so I know how to structure engaging, play-based activities that promote learning. While working in the classroom, I utilized what I now know is called a gentle parent approach to misbehavior, focusing on solutions to problems rather than unrelated, punitive consequences.
