About Hana

Hi! I used to be an assistant teacher in Japan at various English-speaking international primary and preschool schools. I was also a guest teacher at a few junior high schools in Tokyo where I taught English in preparation for the influx of English tourists during the 2020 Olympics. Now, I mostly do freelance tutoring jobs teaching English, reading and writing, Japanese language, and elementary mathematics. As most of my education experience is with children between the ages of 18-months and 11 years old, I am most comfortable with these ages. However, I have some experience with both younger and older children and am still very willing to provide tutoring services. I also teach freelance swim lessons as I was a professionally trained swimmer until my teenage years. Although my lifeguarding certification has expired, I am still equipped in all the essential skills to keep your child safe in and out of the pool. If needed, I would be happy to get renew my certification.
