Hello! I am 21 years old and currently studying to be a Special Education teacher at Clarion University. I have loved working with children since I was little and ever since then I knew I wanted to be in a profession where I could work with them. I have been babysitting multiple families with up to 4 children for almost 6 years now. I have had 2 internships where I worked with Special Education kids and I have 2 cousins with Down Syndrome, who I have spent a lot of time with and also cared for them. I have been working at a day care for about three years now where I take care of children from the age of infants to school aged children. This past year I have worked at a camp for children and adults with chronic illness and disabilities. At this camp I have worked with a range of disabilities from ADD/ADHD, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Autism, Aspergers, Mental Retardation, Prader Willi, and Ventilator Dependent children. I am a very outgoing person who loves to do any type of activity, especially sports, outdoor activities and crafts. I have my own transportation so I would be able to drive the children anywhere they needed me to go!
