My experience with nannying has spanned over the past 5 years. My most consistent gig lasted almost 3 years. It was every day of the week usually for around 5 hours, I took care of one 7-year-old girl. I walked her home from school, fixed her a snack, and set up an activity for us to do, usually art related, or whatever she was interested in at the time. I took lots of time to get to know her and her specific needs. We grew a bond and became a special part of each others lives. After she grew up to not need me any more, I would still babysit some nights. Otherwise I found other gigs during summer time, one with 2 girls age 7&9, and another summer with girls age 4&8. Otherwise I'd have people call me to watch there kid/kids for a date night. I've always enjoyed the job.
