We met Roma when she started taking care of our mother three years ago. It didn't take long for us to learn that Roma excels, personally and professionally. She is a lovely woman, very caring, a good cook, enthusiastic about her children and husband - and a terrific story teller! Roma is curious, and our mom loved the many hours they spent sharing stories about their families. Roma used her own car to take mom to the bank, doctor, supermarket, or clothes shopping, assisting her patiently during the entire outing. None of us lived close to mom's house, so Roma's reliability and willingness to help during an emergency was extremely reassuring. On several occasions, Roma came on her own time to check on mom, regardless of the hour. Roma served as our eyes and ears, and provided useful input to us when we needed to make decisions. One of Roma's most valuable qualities is that she is proactive, not just reactive, in noticing and taking action. Though our mom died two years ago, we are delighted to continue our relationship with Roma, who is now helping one of us. Lucky is the person who will have Roma as his/her aide.
