About Gretchen

Hello! I am a 51yr old mother of 3. Now that my kids are out of the house, I keep myself busy with jobs that I love! I'm a lifelong cat owner and more recently I've also become a dog owner. Throughout my life I'd often sit for family and friends. However, for the past 6 years, I've been able to care for pets along with my babysitting and nanny duties, often becoming the Go-To pet & house sitter while the families vacation. I have experience caring for a wide variety of animals. Along with dogs and cats, I also have experience with parrots, small birds, land tortoises, chickens, koi fish, aquariums, hamsters rats, geckos, & even chameleons! Giving medication is not a problem for me, and I know how to administer insulin by way of both needle and pen. I do not board animals, only drop in pet sitting at this time. I work a part time day job at an elementary school, so I often have popular vacation times free. Please feel free to message me and see if our schedules are a match!

Gretchen helped care for our family cat after a hard weekend of urinary blockage emergencies. She was AMAZING and extremely patient with our feisty and grumpy kitty. We asked for help with administering 4+ medications (orally as well as topical) and she was up for the challenge. She was a God send during a challenging time. I would love to work with her again and definitely recommend her for your furry children!
