About Gretchen

I've worked for 25 years as an elementary school teacher, preschool teacher, tutor and childcare provider because I am passionate about helping families and making a positive impact on the lives of children. I have experience caring for children of all ages, from infants to preteens, and I am comfortable caring for two children at a time. My calm and imaginative personality helps me connect with children and create a safe and nurturing environment. I am also a certified elementary teacher with coursework in early childhood development, which allows me to provide educational and engaging activities that promote learning and growth. I prioritize open communication with parents and regularly provide updates about their child's day. I am happy to follow their preferred communication method, whether it's verbal communication at pickup, text messages, or phone calls. I am comfortable enforcing household rules and ensuring a safe and structured environment for the children in my care.
