I started at 19 years old working at a group home in San Antonio Texas called Buckner Baptist benevolences of South Texas. I worked in their crisis unit then in the girls crisis home and then in the boys crisis home for almost 2 years. I then moved Ca where I was an overnight counselor for about a year. The hours didn't agree with me, so I was offered to work with the kids in the classroom. 7-3. My job was to stay in the classroom with 9 kids, and help them to tru to focus on their schoolwork. It was super challenging though, seeing these kids who'd been abused sexually, physically and mentally.
