About Gretchen

I am a long-term substitute teacher, with nearly 25 years of experience in the public school system, both in typical & special needs classrooms. In addition, I have a masters degree in therapeutic horsemanship, & have a lesson program with my two lovely & gentle horses. I am very creative, love to do anything outdoors, & find much joy both as a teacher & and friend to all of my students. I'd describe my personality as warm, kind, & creative I like working with kids because everyday is an adventure with them. I enjoy creating opportunities for learning as well as planning fun & creative activities for every child I work with. I'm looking for a job that will challenge & inspire me. I started working with kids when I was 16 years old. In my spare time, I like to read, paint, & do anything that involves my horses. One thing you should know about me is I have extensive experience working with children of all ages. My skills include empathy, compassion, & patience.
