About Gretchen
I am a private Math tutor who holds a Bachelor's of Science degree in Secondary Education, with a concentration in Math. I have 10+ years of experience as a Math teacher/tutor, including ACT & SAT prep, as well as NY State Regents prep for Algebra I and II. I have also tutored ASVAB prep for the military entrance exam as well as GED prep. Likewise, I have taught Pre- Algebra, Basic Algebra, and Intermediate Algebra at the collegiate level. My goal is to enable your student to have the confidence he/she needs to attain success. Through my positive encouragement and calm approach, your student will find himself/herself doing well on homework assignments and tests. We are very happy with Gretchen's tutoring! Gretchen has been an absolute gem in tutoring my 10-year-old son in math. Her approach goes beyond just teaching; she ensures that he stays engaged and interested throughout the sessions. What impresses me the most is her knack for making math enjoyable while maintaining his focus. After every session, she sends me a very detailed update on what they went over which I greatly appreciate.
