About Greta

I started babysitting when I was 16 and have always found myself drawn to jobs working with kids. I graduated from the UofA in 2015 and moved to Washington state to work and Americorps position teaching nutrition to kids in high needs schools. After that position ended I started teaching swim lessons and loved being able to teach little ones a new skill. Over the last year, I have lived in Hawaii and worked at the YMCA of Honolulu where I started as a Group Leader in their after school program but quickly advanced to being the Site Director of the after school program. I've gained a lot of valuable experience running activities with kids, troubleshooting issues between kids, and communicating and working with parents and families to help support each child. After my time working at the YMCA I decided to move back to Arizona to pursue a Masters in Education and become an elementary school teacher. Now I'm a first grade teacher and love being in the classroom with my students.
