About Grace

I started working with kids when I was 12 years old and my sister was born. Since she was an infant my mother and I took turns caring for her so I was sort of like her second mom. Since the age of 14 I've been caring for children on and off for many years! In my spare time, I like to read mystery novels, take walks with my partner, try new restaurants, and cook my favorite meals at home. I also have two cats named Daisy and Phoebe who I love spending quiet time with. One thing you should know about me is that I have a social work and counseling background. I have often worked with children in therapy during the last two years of my career. With children in therapy I encourage creative expression through arts, crafts, and play. My skills include cooking and preparing meals, facilitating artistic and creative activities, as well as utilizing effective communication skills and gentle behavioral redirections.
