Hello and thank you for taking the time to view my profile. I am looking to care for kind and loving children who are open to learning new things and going on fun adventures. Some information about me: -I have my Masters degree in sustainability which means I enjoy teaching kids about plants and nature as well as gardening and cooking. - My Masters degree also involves mindfulness and meditation which means I create open and honest communication and I am great in stressful and high anxiety situations. -I have been working for the state of Wisconsin as a Respite Care Provider for 6 years. I have worked with a girl who has Down Syndrome and is deaf for 6 consecutive years from when she was 16 to 22. I have worked with another girl who has Down Syndrome for 3 consecutive years from when she was 5 to 8. -I have experience with many different disabilities including autism, Asperger's, and other disabilities on the autism spectrum. Grace is a kind and fun person. She wants to do what is best for the kids she watches. Grace is flexible to children's needs, patient and understanding. Grace is willing to learn what is needed to care for kids with special needs, such as learn sign language and behavior modification techniques. She likes to take kids out and about to experience new things, but also understands the importance of routine. Also Grace was trained in safety first aid and CPR when she was a lifeguard.
