About Grace

I am a writer and freelance journalist, with ample experience sharing fundamentals and basic skills with kids and teens. I've been a head teacher for a toddler class, after-school teacher for elementary-aged kids, and a private tutor. Specifically I've tutored teens in science and a dyslexic 11 yr old during a summer when I was her full-time caretaker as she attended an intensive reading camp. I'm patient, fun-loving and love to see a student come into full understanding of a topic or skill they are working to master. I understand for most kids, their emotional comfort or security makes a huge impact in what sinks in and how quickly. I like to work with strengths kids already have to build skills they need.
