About Grace

I started working with kids when I was very young. I initially helped take care of my brothers when I was 12. In Highschool, I baby sat for all of my teacher's kids. I knew I wanted to be a teacher for forever! I didn't know until I started college that I have a passion for working with children with disabilities. My first class was Kindergarten through second grade self-contained and I loved the experience so much! I now have experience teaching grades K - 12 within 7 years. I also have experience as a Pediatric Occupational Therapy Assistant. I worked with infants to age 4. In my spare time, I like to go hiking, drink coffee, and travel. My skills include therapeutic play, de-escalation strategies, and introducing meaningful activities that are fun and educational.
