About Grace

Hello I'm Grace! I'm a 27-year-old dog mom looking to do some good in the world! I have been working with kids on and off since I was 16 and find myself frequently returning. In my professional career I have worked in multiple industries including chemistry, HR, marketing and education. I worked at Westlawn School in Winston Salem for 2E kiddos. From this job I have experience with kids who have learning disabilities and behavioral challenges. I am patient and willing to spend as much time as necessary with a kid to get to where we need to be. I can also be firm and make sure that very clear expectations are laid out and enforced. I take the approach with kids seek first to understand and then to be understood, and I always start a relationship with a kiddo on the understanding of mutual respect. I love creative and imaginative play, and spending time outdoors. I also love all kinds of animals and (most) other critters! Please feel free to reach out with any questions!
