Hello! My name is Grace and I am a graduate student studying speech-language pathology. I have a strong interest in working with people with special needs. For two years, I worked as a special needs caregiver for a teenage girl. In this role, I assisted with activities of daily living, prepared her meals following a modified diet according to IDDSI standards, took her to therapy appointments, and created engaging activities to do in her free time. I also have experience working with children and adults with special needs in my role as a graduate student clinician at Calvin University's Speech and Hearing Clinic. I treat clients of all ages who are in need of speech and language services. I also volunteer at the Down Syndrome Associate of West Michigan. Other job experience I have includes working as a physical therapy technician at an outpatient physical therapy clinic, as well as working as a sales associate for a local boutique. I am a hardworking, loyal, and compassionate caregiver.
