About Gordon

Hey there! My name is Gordon, and I am a certified math teacher who has spent the last 8 years teaching high school within Denver Public Schools. Currently, I am stepping away from the classroom to care for my 6mo and 3yo kiddos, but I still would love to support students in their math learning journey! As a tutor, I provide years of in-classroom experience teaching everything from Pre Algebra to PreCalculus. I believe it's a tutor's job to supplement the in-classroom experience as opposed to simply helping a student complete their homework. I will bring in my own resources, learning opportunities, and examples to better solidify a student's understanding. If your student is struggling to see how mathematics can be both enjoyable and challenging, I would love to help instill confidence, base skills, and an ability to think critically!
