My mom has had MS for 31 years so we have had many long term and short term home health care nurses. When my mom visits me in Chicago (and now the suburbs) I have hired care givers through agencies, word of mouth and Care.com. Gloria has by far been the best we've found. She was easy to communicate with through Care.com and incredibly reliable and caring with my mom. My mom has lots of needs - she is wheelchair bound, has a supra-pubic catheter, and requires a breathing and jiggle vest treatment every morning. Gloria needed very little guidance and intuitively took the lead after being shown the routine. She got my mom up in the morning and showered, dressed and fed, did the breathing treatments with her and put her to bed at night. She was strong, kind and compassionate with my mom, and above all, incredibly dependable and trustworthy. I will definitely hire her again when my mom comes to visit.
